G36 conversions are a bit complicated and there are several different options available. These can be built as simple Title 1 guns with 16.5″barrels or built as SBR’s. All Conversions must be 922R compliant and require a minimum of 5 USA made compliance parts. These can be found at hkparts.net and there are several combinations available. These are all semi auto ONLY and retain the factory features which keep it in that configuration. This type of conversion Requires an SL8 and a number of G36 factory parts. The easiest way to obtain the required parts is to purchase a demilled G36 parts kit. The average labor cost for the conversion is around $950 depending on the specifics. Although I am Known to have brought you the True spec G36 conversion utilizing a Demilled G36 rear receiver section there are other alternatives. The Top-notch kit offers the look of a G36 style rifle with a mostly bolt up design and is a great way to go on a budget. The draw back of this type of conversion and others that use a stock block adaptor are that They add a great deal of length to the over all rifle and leave you with an undesired long LOP and they block the ejection port so the rifle can not be fired with the stock folded.
